    They should be allowed to use whichever tickets they have. Interruption of service due to an unpredictable act of God should be covered. If they already have tickets, they shouldn't have to buy new ones.

    I wish I could send them a few pounds.

    It sounds very good as your said. If they already have tickets, they should be allowed to use them. But they have an opportunity to earn money for the new tickets, whereas they´re in much more better position then the other passangers who must extra pay for taxi,bus,ferry...and don´t have that kind of an opportunity...
